"I genuinely believe people deserve a great Negroni without being duped by something that tastes like a shortcut."

What started as a family recipe in the 1970s, quickly became an ode to a timeless cocktail. This is the story behind Eduardo's Negroni.

1951

My grandfather left post-war Italy in search of a better future. With poverty and uncertainty at his back, he made the journey north to Belgium, carrying little more than determination and a willingness to work. It wasn't an easy decision, but staying was no longer an option. He arrived with nothing and set out to build everything.

1973

After years working in the Belgian coal mines, my grandfather finally realized his dream and opened an Italian restaurant in the Brussels region. A small corner of Italy, planted firmly in Belgian soil. Behind the bar, quietly and without fuss, he began serving his own barreled Negroni to guests. His recipe, his standard — long before craft cocktails were even a concept.

2023

Digging into my Italian roots, I stumbled across something I hadn't expected: my grandfather had been making his own Negroni all along. A barreled recipe, carefully crafted and built around a blood orange infused gin. What started as curiosity about my heritage quickly became an obsession. That discovery became the foundation of Eduardo's.

2026

After years of development, experimentation and refinement, I officially launched Eduardo's Negroni. A product rooted in family history, built on craft, and made for those who taste the difference. From a post-war Italian village to a Belgian restaurant, and finally to the bottle in your hands. Some things are worth waiting for.

A tale of A 1920s Sicilian smuggler

Born in the Sicilian peninsula, Eduardo made his living smuggling things across borders that weren't meant to be crossed. One winter night in Florence, he overheard a nobleman's order and nothing was ever the same. What followed was a decade of jazz-soaked speakeasies, federal raids, and a trail of empty glasses across three continents. This is the story of how a smuggler's curiosity became the world's most storied Negroni.

Simply put, we believe a great Negroni isn’t just a drink. It’s an experience. It’s bold and tells a story. It leaves an impression that lingers. Done right, a Negroni can transport you, spark curiosity, and make moments unforgettable. And let me tell you, we do it right.

Three ingredients. No hiding place. Yet somehow,
the Negroni has become the most carelessly
poured drink behind the bar. Cheap gin,
off-the-shelf vermouth, a splash of Italian bitters,
job done. The simplicity that makes it beautiful
is the same thing that makes it easy to get wrong.
Most bars don't think twice. We can't stop
thinking about it.

Eduardo didn't cut corners in 1920s Sicily, and
we're not about to start now. Where others follow
the formula, we interrogate it. Premium
ingredients chosen with intent, techniques
borrowed from unexpected places, and the
audacity to go off-balance when balance feels too
safe. Thirteen variations and counting, because a
great Negroni isn't one thing. It's a conversation.
And we're not done talking.

We’re selling more
than just a bottle

We could’ve stopped after developing our recipe. But we needed to go further. We needed to push it. Negroni is more than just a drink, it’s storied, there’s a whole community, so we wanted to honor this drink even more. Along came Eduardo, our 1920s Sicilian smuggler that brought the Negroni into Prohibition struck America and made the drink famous.

Further than lending the name of my grandfather and his nack for adventure, the story of our 1920s protagonist Eduardo, is invented for the sake of entertainment. We wanted to tell a prohibition story full of adventure, culture and romance. Thus came the story along.

Inspired by cultures all over the world

The Negroni isn't just a cocktail. It's a platform for discovery. At Eduardo's, we take a classic recipe and twist it just enough to carry you somewhere new: a different culture, a different taste, a different world.

"Can you guess where Eduardo’s adventures will take him next?"

Giving back to those who
actually care

As we’re inspired by cultures from all over, we’d also like to use top quality ingredients, which mostly means, organically harvested. While sourcing our ingredients, we talked to local farmers a lot. Even though they’re the ones that truly care about the product, they’re the ones in the industry that are struggling the hardest. Due to their added care, the costs are higher and the yields are lower.
To support them in their mission of providing us and the rest of the world with the best quality food, we’re donating €1 per bottle sold to a good cause that’s supporting organic farming.
